Tuition
Monthly tuition will be due on the 1st of each month. Statements are issued to families monthly.
Tuition is calculated for the entire school year. Tuition is not adjusted or prorated for those weeks in which the studio is closed (fall break, Thanksgiving break, winter break, spring break, etc), or for student absences, inclement weather, or the length of the month. Tuition will be prorated if a student registers in the middle of a month.
Late Fees
A $25.00 late fee will be added to all accounts not paid on or before the 5th of the month. If an account is more than 30 days past due, the student will be dropped from the class. In order to enroll in the future, the account must be paid in full and a new registration fee will be collected.
Registration Fees
Student registration fees are due upon registration at the beginning of each dance season. The registration period is for the entire dance year. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Returned checks
A $30.00 fee will be assessed for all returned checks, plus any applicable late fees.
Withdrawal
Written communication is required for a student to be withdrawn from a class. If notice is received after the 15th of the month, the family will be responsible for the following month’s full tuition.
Adult Punch Cards
Punch cards are offered each semester for adult classes at the following rates:
5 classes for $70
10 classes for $130
Studio Rental Fees
Any dancer taking private lessons at Roots will be charged a studio rental fee of $30 per hour. Rental fees must be paid at the time of the private lesson. Studios are also available to rent to community members - inquire at info@rootsdancedenver.com for pricing and availability.
Inclement Weather
The safety of our dancers and families is our number one concern. Closing due to weather will be at the discretion of Roots Studios, and will be announced on our website, on Facebook, and via email by 3:00 pm the day of closure.
Make-up classes
Students may take make-up classes at their level or below within 4 weeks of their missed class. There will be no make-up classes during May or June.
Recital Fees
All Roots students are invited and encouraged to participate in our annual recital. A recital fee will be added to all April statements- this charge is non-refundable. Recital costumes will be billed based on the cost of each individual costume and are non-refundable.
studio cleanliness
Please help us keep Roots looking beautiful by cleaning up after yourselves regularly. This is our home - please treat it that way. There will be no food, gum, candy or beverages (aside from water) allowed inside the studios at any time.
Lost and Found
Dancers are responsible for their own belongings. Shoes, clothes and other items should be labeled with names. Lost items will be collected, and will be donated at the end of each month if they are not claimed.
cell phones/watches
Cell phones and smart watches will not be permitted in the studios during classes, unless they are being used to film choreography with instructor permission for practice at home. Teachers may confiscate devices being used inappropriately.
Parking
All dancers under the age of nine must be accompanied into the building by an adult and picked up within 10 minutes of the end of their class. Dancers nine and older may be dropped off up to 30 minutes prior to the start of their class and must be picked up within 10 minutes of the end of their class. We appreciate your cooperation and respect in this matter.
